ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)- The Roanoke Police Department has identified the person killed in a seven-vehicle crash at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Plantation Road NW.
According to police, speed appears to have played a factor in the fatal crash that occurred on Friday, October 24, around 4:30 p.m.

Police said the victim, identified as Andrew Marciniec, 26, of Raphine, was traveling at double the posted speed limit when his vehicle struck the rear of two vehicles that were slowing for traffic. The impact created a chain-reaction, which caused damage to four additional vehicles.
Marciniec was taken to local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Another driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries…
