The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), in collaboration with nearly 4,000 law enforcement partners across the country, hosted the 29th annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 25.
Locally, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Rocky Mount Police Department had collection sites at the Westlake Kroger and Rocky Mount Kroger locations, respectively. “We’ve already two bags of medications dropped off,” said Deputy Huddleston with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, who was at Westlake Kroger.
