Roanoke County, VA – The Roanoke County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a new phone scam in which callers impersonate law enforcement officers and demand payment for allegedly missing jury duty.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, scammers are identifying themselves as “Lt. Grant” and insisting that residents pay fines using prepaid credit cards to avoid arrest.
