ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — On this Veterans Day, several restaurant owners took time out to salute the men and women in uniform with free food and other goodies. One of those places was Mission BBQ at Roanoke’s Towers Shopping Center. Each Veterans Day, Mission BBQ provides a free sandwich and a slice of cake to all veterans and active-duty military members who show a valid military ID. Overall, Mission BBQ leaders say they’re proud to serve up food to veterans and servicemembers! Towers Mission BBQ served nearly 1,000 military veterans and servicemembers on this Veterans Day.
