Moped driver dies after two-vehicle crash in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)- Police in Roanoke said a 56-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash involving a moped.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, the crash occurred at 8:29 a.m., on November 5, at the intersection of 5th Street and Elm Avenue SW. Police said the driver of a moped, identified as Timothy Harrison, of Roanoke, was traveling north on 5th Street, when he apparently ran a red light and stuck the pickup.

Standoff in Lynchburg: Police surround Florida Avenue residence

Harrison was taken to the hospital. He died on November 8.

The driver of the pickup was not injured…
