ROANOKE, VA. (WFXR) – A new option to donate blood is now available in the Roanoke Valley, after working on the project for more than a year. The Blood Connection’s (TBC) first permanent donation centers in the Commonwealth are now open in both Roanoke and Danville.

TBC’s new location at Valley View will help provide multiple different blood products to Carilion Clinic and first responders. That includes platelets, plasma, and much more. In 2024, Carilion used over 19,000 blood products from TBC, and has already used more than 16,000 this year…
