ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – The Salvation Army has reached about 60% of its Red Kettle Campaign goal as the organization’s largest annual fundraiser enters its final stretch.
“Every time you walk by a bell ringer and decide to give whatever you may have, we are incredibly thankful for it,” Lt. Antonio Hodges said.
The campaign aims to raise $185,000 this year, with donations currently totaling about $80,000. The funds are divided among programs serving people throughout the valley. The domestic violence shelter receives a portion of the funds to help families transition to safety…
