Lucy Addison’s lessons live on in the Star City

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Roanoke City Public Schools has unveiled the city’s 21st historical marker, honoring a woman who believed education could change lives.

The Lucy Addison marker now stands outside the Community Empowerment Center, which was once Lucy Addison High School. It serves as a reminder of the work Addison dedicated her life to in the Star City.
