A few days ago, Megan Duffy and her team went on the road in conference play to take down Florida State. Today, they return home to Cassell Coliseum as they face a familiar foe in Radford. The Hokies are on a 12-game win streak in this series while the Highlanders are looking for their first series win since 2006.
The last time out, Virginia Tech traveled to Tallahassee to defeat Florida State by a score of 79-54. Four Hokies scored in double digits – Carys Baker (21), Mackenzie Nelson (18), Mel Daley (16), and Carleigh Wenzel (11). Both Nelson and Daley notched a double-double in the game, Nelson with 12 assists and Daley with 10 rebounds.
The team shot well consistently for four quarters, ending with a 44.44% success rate for the game. However, they only managed to shoot 20% from beyond the arc. The Hokies only turned the ball over eight times in the contest while forcing 15 turnovers from Florida State. They outrebounded Florida State by three while generating four blocks and nine steals…
