Virginia family suing KLM after flight was allegedly ‘infested’ with bedbugs: ‘Itchy welts, lesions and rashes’

A Virginia family said they were left covered in “itchy welts, lesions and rashes” after taking an international flight operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines that was allegedly “infested” with bed bugs, according to a new lawsuit.

Romulo Albuquerque and his wife sued both KLM and air travel partner Delta Air Lines last week, alleging they and their two kids caught the nasty, hard-to-get-rid-of bugs on a KLM flight they had purchased tickets for through Delta.

The family of four said they suffered bites while on the international flight to Serbia on March 21.
