ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A strong cold front arrives Monday bringing a winter chill back to the region for the new work week. High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories will go into effect as winds behind the front increase substantially. There will be frequent gusts around 40-50 mph with higher peaks seeing gusts up to 60 mph.
Scattered showers will arrives with the front in the morning hours but will only bring light rainfall totals. Rain coverage looks best along and to the west of the Blue Ridge with spotty coverage to the east. As cold…..
