Piccadilly Square businesses damaged in Roanoke fire; no injuries reported

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – First responders were dispatched to a structure fire in Roanoke at approximately 3:30 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, according to the officials.

Franklin Rd. SW was closed between Avenham Ave. and Roberts Rd., it has since reopened at 6:00 a.m., according to the Roanoke Police Department.

WDBJ7 was on the scene in the 3100 block of Franklin Rd. SW. and learned nobody was present in the building. Firefighters say the fire was extinguished in ten minutes.
