ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – No injuries were reported in an apartment fire Saturday, January 3, according to Roanoke Fire-EMS.
Firefighters responded at 9:40 a.m. to reports of a fire in an apartment building on the 1500 block of Bluemont Ave, where black smoke was coming from a window.
Crews found the source of the smoke, searched the building, and extinguished the flames, according to firefighters. The fire was contained to the apartment of origin and marked under control at 9:55 a.m., according to firefighters.
