ROCKY MOUNT, Va. (WDBJ) – A CTE Center, E911 Dispatch Center, and Public Safety offices will be built at 260 Weaver Street, according to Franklin County officials.
Officials say the Rocky Mount Town Council approved a Special Exception Permit to allow Franklin County to build these facilities.
The town and county worked together in spring 2025, discussing how to make the proposed facilities work on the Weaver Street Property. Officials say the town had concerns about matters such as traffic and the impact of the proposed uses on other properties and businesses in the area.
