ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – The Roanoke County Sheriff’s Office is warning the community to be aware of a jury duty scam, after receiving calls questioning the legitimacy of the messages, the sheriff’s office announced.
The sheriff’s office said the scam calls claim the recipient owes money or faces arrest for “missed jury duty” and the suspects demand a payment from $500-$7,000.
