Censured Franklin County Board of Supervisors member speaks out against November censure

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) On November 13th, Franklin County Union Hall District Supervisor Dan Quinn received a letter from Franklin County’s attorney, warning him of potential disciplinary action at the next Board of Supervisors meeting. Five days later, the board approved Quinn’s censure on two counts.

The first charge accused him of disorderly behavior. The board said it was for publicly revealing the names of candidates for County Administrator, who were interviewed during a closed meeting.

The other charge was for making “uninformed statements regarding the conduct of board members.” It stated that the incident stemmed from his intervention in an incident involving a Board of Supervisors candidate who had placed a campaign sign in the yard of a Franklin County public safety EMS employee…
