ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – High school students in Roanoke, estimated by onlookers to be in the hundreds, gathered Tuesday to protest ICE raids across the country.
A statement from Roanoke City Public Schools reads, “We are aware that students from both Patrick Henry and William Fleming walked out today as part of scheduled, student-organized peaceful protests. Our understanding is that this was part of a broader nation-wide protest.”
