Presbyterian Community Center enters a new era with brand-new building

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — After more than five decades, the building the Presbyterian Community Center started in on the corner of 13th and Jamison has come down, paving the way for a new era for the organization.

“Once we are complete with the construction clients will check in here to get our services and find out more information or provide resources if we’re not able to help them,” said Nicole Jennings, the center’s executive director, while giving a tour of the new space.

The new building, which is just to the left of the former building, took over a decade of planning to achieve. Jennings says the former building was blocking the center’s ability to help, as they had to deal with constant leaks and maintenance issues. So, this new building has allowed the center to look toward a brighter future…
