BOTETOURT COUNTY, VA. (WFXR) – At 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 25, the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department (FVFD) responded to a report of a structure fire in the 2700 block of Wheatland Rd.
FVFD says the caller saw smoke coming from a wall and was unable to leave the house due to being in a wheelchair.
Multiple units and nine volunteer firefighters arrived to the scene.
Immediately upon arrival, Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department Officer Dylan Setliff located the one occupant in his kitchen and safely removed him from the home…
