Jordan Glides to Men’s Indoor 5,000m School Record at Brant Tolsma Invitational

Lynchburg, Va. – — Alex Jordan posted a historic 14:19.15 men’s 5,000m performance to topple Ricky Flynn’s program record by nine seconds on Friday evening, as the Lynchburg indoor track & field teams opened action from the Brant Tolsma Invitational at Liberty University and the Roanoke Bast-Cregger Invitational hosted by Roanoke College.

Following a consistently paced race, Jordan’s 25th and final lap became his quickest by over two seconds. His personal best of 14:38.07 improved by 19 seconds, and Jordan owns the seventh-fastest time in Division III for the 2025-2026 indoor season.

Lamont Victoria also registered a successful day from Liberty, clocking a 6.78 60m performance for second in the field against Division I opponents. Victoria also cleared 6′ 9″ (2.08m) in the men’s high jump to finish second…
