Workers Brave Winter Storm To Save Newborn Who Hadn’t Eaten In Days

Last week, a pair of maintenance workers at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia, made an emergency trip during a winter storm to help feed a newborn baby who hadn’t eaten in three days. Engineering supervisor Tyler Stanger and maintenance apprentice Tyler Underwood were asked by hospital administrators to find a specific type of baby formula needed for an infant being treated in the emergency room. The request came while the area was facing icy and dangerous road conditions.

Stanger and Underwood drove through snow and ice to a Walmart to locate the formula. Despite slippery roads and difficulty navigating the parking lot, they were able to secure the formula and return safely to the hospital. Hospital officials say the baby urgently needed the formula, and the workers acted without hesitation…
