Richmond, Virginia – Slick stretches could develop along I-81 and higher elevations of western Virginia before 8 a.m. Thursday as light overnight snow brushes the mountains, but temperatures climbing 15 to 20 degrees above seasonal averages will turn most areas milder and wet by midday.
According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, Virginia falls within a 40 to 50 percent above-normal precipitation zone through Tuesday.
