ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The City of Roanoke and the Virginia Tech Institute for Policy and Governance is calling for eight Roanoke residents to meet with City staff to draft a new community engagement policy.
Joined by eight City staff members, chosen residents will fashion a policy that involves standardizing community notifications, developing community feedback processes, and more.
These meetings will add to last year’s listening sessions to put together a policy “that will guide how the City communicates and engages with residents for years to come,” said City Manager Valmarie Turner. “We’re looking for a wide variety of voices to help create an engagement approach that truly serves everyone.”…
