CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WFXR)- Former Christiansburg police chief Alvin Lee Hale has passed away at the age of 91.
According to his obituary, Hale, of Christiansburg, served 32 years with the Christiansburg Police Department. He retired as police chief in 1990. After that, Hale worked part-time as a bailiff for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office until 2009.
Hale was born September 1, 1934 and died February 12, 2026. He is survived by his four children, nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren…
