SALEM, Va. (WFXR) – Saturday at the Salem Civic Center, day two of the VHSL wrestling state championships was held. Many of our local high school wrestling teams hit the mat looking to win a state championship.
With 216 points, the Rural Retreat wrestling team claimed the VHSL Class 1 State title. According to Coach Rouse this championship is the embodiment of hard work.
