SALEM, Va. (WHSV) – Strasburg’s wrestling program finished second in Class 2, Riverheads placed third in Class 1 and several Shenandoah Valley wrestlers claimed individual titles at the VHSL state wrestling championships Saturday at the Salem Civic Center.
Leading the Rams’ runner-up finish was senior Hutson Conrad, who won the 285-pound title with a victory over Fort Defiance’s Camden Smith. The championship marks Conrad’s third individual state title.

Strasburg had four wrestlers finish second in their respective weight classes: Eli Troxell (126 pounds), Braeden Martinez (150), Harper Sherman (175) and Carson Duckworth (190). Other notable Strasburg finishes included third-place efforts from Aiden Swink (120) and Nolan Adolphson (132), along with a sixth-place finish from Sal Loreca (138)…
