ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Federal Emergency Management Authority (FEMA) is considering a new, preliminary flood map for our region.
Currently, this is a mapping application and local FEMA offices are calling on residents to be involved with the flood map change application. Roanoke County staff will hold two open house meetings to address questions and concerns about the new flood maps. Residents will learn how the maps may affect future development in Roanoke.
