Blacksburg, VA Weather Alert: 8 Inches Snarl US-460 And I-81 Through 8 PM Monday

Blacksburg, VA – Upslope snow will continue across the central Appalachians today, bringing accumulating snowfall and hazardous travel to portions of southwest Virginia and southeast West Virginia, particularly along I-81, I-77, US-460 and I-64.

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg reports that snowfall will be most persistent in the mountains, with western Greenbrier County, West Virginia, facing the highest totals. Between 2 and 8 inches of snow is possible there, especially in higher elevations near Beckley and along I-64. Elsewhere across southeast West Virginia and the mountains of southwest Virginia, including Bluefield, Wytheville and Blacksburg, 1 to 4 inches of accumulation is expected…
