The YMCA at Virginia Tech invites community members of all ages to celebrate Pi Day at the 5th “Try Y’s Pi” event, a delicious and math-inspired tradition taking place on March 14, 2026 (3.14).
Pi Day is recognized worldwide in honor of the mathematical constant π (Pi), representing the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter—approximately 3.14159. Celebrated for its infinite, pattern less digits and its importance in mathematics, Pi Day has become a playful opportunity for math lovers to share their enthusiasm, recite the digits of Pi, and enjoy a slice (or five!) of pie.
