Blacksburg, Virginia – Residents across Southwest Virginia are heading into a sharp weather swing that could drop temperatures by more than 35 degrees within 48 hours, bringing spring warmth this weekend before a sudden cold snap arrives early Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, temperatures will climb into the upper 50s to upper 60s Sunday and Monday across much of the region.
