All 18 dogs were taken into care by Angels of Assisi who have been treating the dogs for skin conditions and digestive issues. Angels of Assisi Executive Director Lisa O’Neill says fifteen small dogs were living indoors and appear to have given birth multiple times.
The three remaining dogs were living outside in mud flooded kennels with frozen water bowls, no food in sight, and tarps over their cases were weighed down with snow.
