BEDFORD, Va. (WDBJ) – One person was transported to a hospital after a crash resulting from a police chase on Wednesday morning, according to the Bedford Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched to the 3000 block of Big Island Hwy in northern Bedford at 6:29 a.m. March 18, for a report of a crash resulting from a pursuit involving law enforcement.
First responders found one vehicle on its side, having sustained major damage. Deputies from the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office helped remove the windshield to get the driver out; the driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Bedford FD.
