ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – An inmate was found unresponsive in her cell while in the custody of Western Virginia Regional Jail (WVRJ).
On the afternoon of March 24, 2026, Inmate Destiny Swain, 27, received emergency lifesaving measures from WVRJ security and medical staff. They immediately initiated CPR and activated 911.
