ROANOKE, VA. (WFXR) – Roanoke Area Ministries launched a new campaign in efforts to expand services and strengthen homelessness prevention.“This campaign is an opportunity for people to feel like they have some control, to make things better. I’ve always said, it’s been a long haul, but this is a good valley with good people and that they would bring us through to the other side,” said Melissa Woodson, the executive director of Roanoke Area Ministries (RAM House).
Leaders say the “Star City Challenge” was made to encourage thousands of people across the Roanoke Valley to give smaller donations that quickly add up.
