Drought Concerns Increasing

Beautiful weather aside, we need rain. The latest drought monitor continues to show a growing concern with severe drought expanding west across our hometowns.

The National Weather Service has issued an Enhanced Fire Danger for our region today. Meaning even a small spark could cause a forest fire. Ise extreme caution while outside.

The drought has roots back to last October. Since that time many hometowns are down 7.5″ to 9.5″ of rain. For the year most hometowns are down 2.5″ to 3.5″ of rain. If rainfall continues to dodge our hometowns, we could…..
