ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A condition impacting fertility long known as polycystic ovary syndrome is getting a new name.
PCOS will now be known as PMOS, or polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome. The change is an effort to better help diagnose and describe the metabolic disorder that affects at least 10% of women globally.
