ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – In another wrinkle in Virginia’s plan to allow businesses to legally sell marijuana across our hometowns, Governor Spanberger vetoed a bill to create a retail market for marijuana in the commonwealth. She proposed changes that were rejected by lawmakers, leading to the veto decision.
The owner of Buffalo Hemp Company has been advocating for the retail marijuana market in Virginia for years and he was confident it would become a reality under the new administration. He and other lawmakers are disappointed by the decision, but are going to keep fighting until it becomes reality.
