RG&E crews work to restore full power after Thursday’s windstorms; neighbors deal with aftermath

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Crews including RG&E are still working to restore power after this week’s storms, with some residents saying they’ve been without power for more than 72 hours.

News10NBC’s Declan Stablow reported from Overbrook Road in Pittsford, where homeowners are still cleaning up. On Kimberly Road in Pittsford, a tree came down during the storms and hit a neighboring house. Neighbors said no one got hurt.

Barbara Herman on Overbrook Road has been without power since Thursday.

“Well, we have a very kind good hearted angel of the neighbor across the street. They have power and she offered to take all of our food and put it in her spare fridge so that’s what we did,” Herman said. “We put everything in our coolers and dragged it across the street and we’ve been hanging out over there most of the time.”…
