ROCHESTER, N.Y. — This week on Rochester in Focus, we revisited some past conversations. First, News10’s Lynette Adams talked with the lead dietician at Highland Hospital. Then, a conversation with two leaders at the Commissary. After that, it’s a conversation with the marketing manager of Karma, a beverage brand. Lastly, we talked with a Rochester-based bagpiper.
First, Lynette talked with Molly Ranney, the lead dietician for the Bariatric Center at Highland Hospital. Ranney talked about the themes of connectivity when eating food. She explained the values of food and how it brings a connection to people. She also explained what kinds of organic foods are best to eat.
The second conversation is with Denise Jones, the interim executive director at the Commissary, and Hannah Robbins, the organization’s partnership manager. The Commissary is an incubator, supporting those who want to open up a restaurant or kitchen. They give learners experiences in culinary work through a kitchen rental space and other features.
