FAIRPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — Fairport’s newly appointed police chief was officially sworn in during Monday night’s village board meeting.
Chief Andrew Whitaker began his first day with the Fairport Police Department on July 7. He said he is looking forward to helping make the village a safer place.
“I’m excited to come in here, excited for the new challenge,” Whitaker said. “Fairport looked like the perfect place to take the next step.”…
