Opening arguments set for Thursday in Irondequoit family murder trial

Rochester, N.Y. — Jury selection is complete and opening arguments are slated for Thursday in the dual-jury murder trial of two brothers accused of killing a family of four in Irondequoit nearly two years ago, according to special prosecutor Christine Callanan.

Julio Cesar Pimentel-Soriano and Luis Francisco Soriano face several charges — including first-degree murder, arson, kidnapping and burglary — in the deaths of their cousin, Fraime Ubaldo, his girlfriend, Marangely Moreno-Santiago, and the couple’s two young children, Evangeline Ubaldo Moreno and Sebastian Ubaldo Moreno.
