Rush, N.Y. — Local officials and members of the Sri Vidya temple congregation marked a major step on Sunday in the construction of a new temple, taking part in a sacred ritual tied to the building’s foundation.
The ceremony took place during the foundation-laying phase for the floor of the temple’s hall, a structure leading to the main worship space.
