ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester Animal Services and The Rescue Effort campaign are teaming up this Sunday to help more shelter animals find loving, forever homes. The Rescue Effort is run by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). RAS is offering free-waived adoptions for eligible pets on October 11 and October 31 from noon until 4 p.m.
Waiving adoption fees will help give the community more opportunities to welcome a new furry friend while helping create more space for animals in need during the animal shelter’s ongoing renovations.
