ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man was arrested in connection to a shooting inside a Lake Avenue apartment last week, according to the Rochester Police Department.
Officers said 45-year-old Harold Scott was allegedly arguing with the victim before pulling out a gun and shooting her in her upper body.
RPD responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. and found the victim , a woman in her 60s. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Scott was not at the scene.
On Monday, Scott was found on Saxton Street and was arrested. He was charged with second-degree assault and second and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was previously convicted on an assault charge back in 2021.
Scott was taken to the Monroe County Jail and he is expected to be arraigned sometime Tuesday morning.
