USPS considers moving Buffalo jobs to Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The United States Postal Service is looking into whether it should move some work from Buffalo’s processing and distribution center to Rochester.

Just over 700 people work at the Buffalo facility. Back in August it became one of 29 postal sites nationwide that could lose mail to another location.

The Buffalo Common Council adopted a resolution expressing support for its location. Next Wednesday USPS will host a public meeting at the Creekside Banquet Facility to talk more about the study.
