ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Emergency crews put out a fire at the Town of Irondequoit Department of Public Works Thursday.
They were called to the fire shortly before 5:00 p.m. when someone driving past the building saw smoke.
Firefighters at the scene found three dump trucks on fire inside. They said a section of the fabric roof above the fire melted, but they were able to put out the flames quickly without any damage to the rest of the structure. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This comes eight years years after a fire destroyed the town’s former DPW garage , destroying multiple snow plows and other town vehicles.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
