Mike Mazzeo, former president of Locust Club, officially retires

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Mike Mazzeo, the former head of the Rochester Police Locust Club, has retired from the Rochester Police Department.

Mazzeo worked as an investigator with the RPD for years. Many in the public knew him for his time serving in the Locust Club.

Mazzeo served on the Locust Club’s Finance Committee and Executive Board for over 17 years. He also served as executive vice president for three years and treasurer for four. He finally assumed the role of president of the union in June 2008.

He served as president for 16 years until he lost an election held in 2023 to Geoffrey Wiater, who started serving the role at the beginning of this month.
