Grieving father supports ‘deadly driving bill’ following son’s loss to impaired driver

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) – Henry Rivera Sr. remembered his son, who was killed by an intoxicated driver, Saturday. Henry Rivera Jr. was a senior in high school, nearing graduation, when he was struck and killed by an intoxicated wrong-way driver on I-590. Henry was driving home from a movie with his friend, Pedro, and girlfriend Ashley. The wrong-way driver entered the expressway via an exit ramp, striking Rivera’s vehicle on the driver’s side, killing Pedro instantly. Henry and Ashley were rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital, where Henry later died.
