SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — NewsChannel 9 is putting viewers On The Lookout for this week’s fugitive.
OSCO: Officers fatally shoot man during shootout on Main St. in Canandaigua
21-year-old Andre Kearse, of Syracuse, is a Black male with black hair, brown eyes, 5’7″, and around 150 lbs.
His last known address is on Valley Drive, in Syracuse.
Kearse is wanted for a domestic incident. The victim had a Stay Away order of protection against Kearse, but she had reported that she woke up to him punching the victim in the face.
“The victim reported that she walked towards her door in an attempt to flee and as she did so, Kearse approached her with a sweatshirt, property of her current boyfriend, and lit it on fire,” said Syracuse Police.
The victim said that Kearse, while still holding the lit sweatshirt, pulled her back into the apartment. A neighbor entered the apartment at that time, and Kearse ran away.
Kearse has an active warrant for:
- Burglary 2nd degree
- Arson 2nd degree
- Criminal Contempt 1st degree
- Reckless Endangerment 1st degree
- Larceny
- Harassment
