SPENCERPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — The Brockport Blue Devils grabbed the Class A2 sectional wrestling title at Spencerport high school Saturday afternoon.
Five Brockport wrestlers claimed first place at sectionals. Richard Wood, who wrestled at 124lbs for the Blue Devils, earned his three consecutive sectional championship.
Spencerport’s Joe Trieste was named the most outstanding wrestler for the tournament. Schroeder finished in second place while Churchville-Chili took third place.
Pittsford claimed the throne atop Class A1 while Pal-Mac was named the Class B1 champions. Canisteo-Greenwood and Byron-Bergen were the Class B2 and B3 champions respectively.
